How to Play & Match Strategy
Step-by-step game plan to secure victory in the arena
Patience & Defensive Mortars
Never play Mortar aggressively at the bridge early without knowing their counters. Start by cycling Barbarian Barrel or split Goblin Gang behind your King Tower to scout the opponent's spells. If pressured, place a defensive Mortar in the center to distract tanks while Cannon Cart dismantles support troops.
Evolution Push & Bait Traps
Drop Goblinstein in the back and lock an offensive Evo Mortar at the river as the Monster crosses the bridge. Trigger the lightning ability right when they deploy troops into the Mortar's blind spot. Once they spend their Fireball or Arrows on Mother Witch, punish them instantly with Evo Minion Horde at the river.
Dual-Lane Pressure & Spell Finish
Maintain constant pressure by alternating offensive Mortar placements and sending Cannon Cart down the opposite lane. Exploit the 3-card cycle while Goblinstein is alive to rotate rapidly back to Fireball and Barbarian Barrel. Chip the remaining tower hitpoints with continuous Fireballs while locking down your side with defensive Mortars.
Anchor your defense around a center-placed Mortar to pull tanks into both Princess Towers' firing range. Use Goblinstein's Monster to absorb heavy hits while Cannon Cart fires from behind your towers. Spread Mother Witch and Minion Horde apart to prevent the opponent from getting double spell value.
Against Monk, avoid locking Mortar onto the bridge while his Pensive Protection ability is active, or your shells will bounce back onto your own towers. If facing Archer Queen or Three Musketeers, save Fireball specifically to deny their offensive tempo and clean up any remaining split troops with Barbarian Barrel.
Goblinstein and Evo Mortar form an oppressive siege duo; the Monster tanks bridge counters while the lightning ability shreds swarm units dropped inside the blind spot. Mother Witch and Evo Minion Horde create a deadly bait synergy, forcing opponents to blow their main air response before the Horde shreds the field.
❓Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Evo Mortar Goblinstein Siege
What is the best opening play with this deck?
Split Goblin Gang behind the King Tower or cycle a neutral Barbarian Barrel to test the opponent's responses. Avoid playing an offensive Mortar until you have confirmed they lack an immediate high-damage counter like Monk.
How do you beat Monk with an offensive Mortar deck?
Place Mortar defensively in the center kill-zone and surround Monk with Goblin Gang once he crosses the river. Wait out his reflection ability entirely before dropping Cannon Cart or launching an offensive Mortar sequence.
When should you deploy Evo Minion Horde?
Play Evo Minion Horde only after baiting out the opponent's heavy spell with Mother Witch or Cannon Cart. The evolution survives light spell damage, allowing it to wipe out beatdown pushes and spearhead an unstoppable counter-push.
